Tunis/Tunisia — The governorate of Gabes has recorded 4 more fatalities due to COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, taking the death toll in the region to 126 since the outbreak of the pandemic.
118 more infections have been reported in the region from 287 conducted tests, said Local Coordinator of the Watchdog Unit Houssine Jobrane.
These infection cases have been reported in Gabes city (28 cases), South Gabes (25 cases), New Matmata (18 cases), Mareth (13 cases), Ghannouch (12 cases), El Hamma (10 cases), West Gabes (8 cases) and Oudhref (8 cases), Jobrane told TAP.
Gabes currently counts 881 active virus-carriers and the infections have hit 4,446 since the outbreak of the pandemic, the same source specified.
