Baby sex hint?
Naturally, people have guessed that Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s mum has been dropping huge hints about the sex of her third child.
She wore the above dress on her first outing since announcing her pregnancies, leading people to assume it was a major hint.
But after following up in pink, royal fans then thought Pippa Middleton’s sister might be expecting twins
Yet as she has entered her third trimester, she has worn more and more of the darker hue. Is she letting fans in on a secret?
The psychology behind it
Could blue be Prince Harry’s sister in law’s favourite colour? According to Psychology Today, preferring the sky shade can reveal a lot about who you are.
They state: “If blue is your favorite color you love harmony, are reliable, sensitive and always make an effort to think of others. You like to keep things clean and tidy and feel that stability is the most important aspect in life.”
Meanwhile, Research collected from the University of British Columbia has proven that people associate blue with openess, peace and calmness. It’s also been shown the colour can actually make people feel calmer.
Is Kate sending out a political message of peace and stability with her wardrobe?!
Fashion Psychologist Ms. Dawnn Karen’s exclusively told OK! Online: “Blue is symbolic of trust and loyalty. The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, perhaps wore blue to evoke trust and loyalty as the UK attempts to break away from the EU. Wearing blue will assist in strengthening relations while on the royal tour.
“Also blue has a calming effect on the psyche of the wearer and perceiver as well. As Kate Middleton enters her 7 month it may soothe her pregnancy symptoms that she may have while on the royal tour. As the attempt to break away from the EU is ongoing, igniting a calm presence may proven to be beneficial as well.”
With the Duchess wearing blue more than ever on her Scandinavian royal tour , could the hue be a nod to the countries she’s visiting?
The Swedish flag is blue and yellow, while the Norwegian is red and blue – and Kate has also been spotted in bright red on this trip, too.
