Seun Kuti, son of the late Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, says he can simplest work with his elder brother, Femi, if he is financially down.
In a chat with the Punch Newspapers, he mentioned “Collaborations like which might be cash spinners. If we might collaborate, it is not as a result of we wish to do something great for music as a result of we’re already making great tune individually. but when we do it, it would mainly be for monetary purpose. We agreed that as soon as we really feel our career is slowing down and cash shouldn’t be coming as it should, we might soar into the studio and do a cash spinner.”
after which he cleared the misconceptions on his controversial way of life: “I don’t think i am even controversial. The society is morally bankrupt, so they in finding fact as controversial. I are trying as much as that you can imagine to be myself all the time. Being Fela’s son is a part of who i’m. If any person as great as Fela is your father, it is rather doubtless that he would influence you. I don’t owe anybody any explanation for that. i’ve by no means made decisions because I need to be like my father. in truth, my father never inspired us to make decisions like that. We were taught to simply accept who we’re in its entirety. an important a part of my individuality is that i am Fela’s son, what can i do? I simply say things the best way they are. in the future, I wore a swimsuit for my video and the subsequent thing I examine me used to be, ‘Controversial artiste turns his again against his father, wears a suit.’
