Coronation Street viewers have become obsessed with some of their favourite characters and their outfit choices on the ITV soap.
Eva Price, Kate Connor and Sophie Webster often take to the cobbles in a range of styles from high street to designer.
However, fans of the show have become increasingly frustrated over their wardrobes, as they can never find an exact match.
And now we’ve uncovered there’s an important reason for this, like most of us, characters on the show recycle their outfits.
Often that means re-wearing coats and dresses from as far back as 2014, and thus why you can never find the clothes in your favourite store.
Eva Price – played by Catherine Tyldesley – often wears a hot pink coat with a streamlined style and mock pockets.
Suranne Jones played Karen McDonald between 2000 to 2004 – she’s gone on to star in several TV dramas and even won a BAFTA for her portrayal of Gemma Fster in Doctor Foster [Wenn]
It’s called the Pink Maeve Coat from Karen Millen and originally cost £195 when it went on sale in 2013.
Eva first started wearing the smart bright jacket in 2014 and is still sporting it in January 2018, however, it has of course long sold out.
Likewise, in recent storylines, Kate Connor – played by actress Faye Brookes – has left ITV viewers lusting over an embroidered black velvet jacket.
The jacket was from Zara and cost £56 when it was available online in late 2015, however, if you want to get your hands on the number you’re far too late.
Many second hand versions of the pieces are available on eBay, but you have to be prepared to spend a bit more on them.
Even Strictly Come Dancing star Brooke Vincent’s character Sophie Webster has caused a stir.
The character has brought back a Burberry inspired cape from a popular high street store.
Sophie Webster also recycled the Women’s Natural Beige Wool-blend Check Cape Coat from River Island, which costs £80.
She first started wearing it in 2015 during her makeover phase but has been wearing it for scenes in 2018.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV.
