Theresa May cancelled tomorrow’s vote on her Brexit deal after members of her own party have made it clear they would not support her. This morning the European Court of Justice said the UK could cancel Brexit without the permission of the other 27 EU members. Mrs May gavea speech this afternoon in the House of Commons to explain her reasons for the delay.
When will MPs vote be on Brexit now after May’s delay?
Theresa May did not confirm when Mps will vote on the deal after she postponed tomorrow’s vote.
However, she implied it could be held in January instead.
One of the reasons given for the day was that there is too much concern about the backstop element of the deal, which could result in defeat for the deal if MPs voted on it.
