The Extras and Ugly Betty star opened up about motherhood in a candid interview four years ago, revealing she and her husband Terence Beesley moved out of London for a better quality of life.
Ashley Jensen said she wanted to focus on being mother and spending time with her son, Francis, and at the time was working alongside her husband on a project of their own, after moving to Bath.
“He’s four now and you only get one chance when they’re that age. I want to focus on being a mum at the moment,” she revealed to the Evening Standard.
“He’s just had his nativity play and I spent days making a shepherd’s costume for him — I was trawling the second-hand shops of Bath and I absolutely loved it.”
“We’re trying to get our own project off the ground. We work really well together,” she added.
However, four years after Ashley spoke about her life as a mother and a wife, her husband sadly died.

Terence was found dead at their family home in November.
An ambulance is believed to have arrived at their home in Somerset within ten minutes of the emergency call being made.
The 60-year-old actor was pronounced dead a short time later.
Ashley Jensen is said to be “devastated”.
A spokesman for the Ugly Betty actress told The Sun: “Ashley is devastated and respectfully asks for privacy at this extremely sad and difficult time.”
A representative for Terence added: “It is with great sadness that I can confirm that Terence passed away at the end of November.”
