Nollywood actor, Emeka Enyiocha who was well known within the Nigerian film industry in the early 90s could have deserted appearing utterly.
In an interview with Saturday Beats, Enyiocha explained why he left the film business.
“I left the industry as a result of I got married and i began having children. instantly I received married, I started having children and i had more duties to take care of. I had to be nearer to my domestic and children so that they’d not call me uncle after they see me. Marriage and domestic slowed me down. It indisputably slows one down. excluding you do not want to take care of your loved ones. i attempted to mix marriage with work as a result of I was once doing my manufacturing. while I was away from the business, I was into partnership with a close good friend of mine. We did productions collectively. We did ‘The Patriot,’ which is a struggle in opposition to faux drugs and adulterated merchandise. We did ‘faculty,’ a movie about rich youngsters inflicting trouble in the school and we did ‘Champions of Our Time,’ in partnership with the Lagos State executive. it’s concerning the physically challenged and permitting them to to know that their standing does no longer amount to a psychological incapacity and we received so many awards with this film,”
The actor stated that while he used to be on hiatus, he explored different companies considered one of which was that he become a bar operator. In his phrases, he learnt lots from being a ‘beer seller’.
“within the process, I opened a bar and was a beer seller. I was trying to comprehend the opposite side of lifestyles which if truth be told taught me quite a few classes. I saw lots and it taught me to be humble. It taught me be humble to the bottom. It also taught me how to economize, recognize and delight in cash. As an actor, whilst you get money, it’s in the booth and also you don’t have time to do the rest, so money does the whole thing for you.
