Corbynites took to social media to defend the hard-left Labour leader, with some people launching vile misoginistic tweets of their own at the Prime Minister. Mr Corbyn’s alleged remark – which was caught on camera – sent the Commons into uproar during Wednesday’s Prime Minister’s Question Time. The Labour leader left the chamber without apologising and his spokesman has since denied saying “woman”, claiming he said “stupid people”.
One tweeted: “Theresa May, there are too many stupid women in Parliament.
“You are rude, b****y and only get away with your aggressive behaviour because you have a vagina. Having a vagina is the only attribute you need to be a politician and that is why you are a t***.”
Another tweeted: “Here we go, the BBC jumping on Jeremy Corbyn for calling Theresa may a ‘stupid women’.
“Here’s the thing, she is stupid and she is a women.
“If someone was to call Corbyn a ‘stupid man’ would it even be discussed?”
Mr Corbyn could be seen later watching the incident on a television in the Commons tearoom.
A spokesman for Mr Corbyn said: “He did not call her a stupid woman and so I don’t think there’s any basis for an apology.
“As I understand it, he said ‘stupid people’.”
Mr Corbyn was caught on camera appearing to mutter “stupid woman” after Mrs May taunted him during a fiery PMQs.
Commons Speaker John Bercow is adamant he did not see or hear Mr Corbyn making the alleged remark.
MPs have rejected the claim Mr Corbyn said “stupid people”, with Health Secretary Matt Hancock attacking Mr Corbyn’s “sickening” remarks and branding him a “misogynist”.
Mr Corbyn’s allegedly sexist remark in the last PMQs of the year sent Twitter into a frenzy, with critics hammering him for his alleged comments.
But others preferred to vent their anger at the Conservative Party, with some accusing the Tories of “virtue signalling”.
One person tweeted: “Women aren’t so fragile they will crumble from being called stupid are they?
“Isn’t is misogyny to insist they are so weak?”
Another wrote: “Leadsom is a right wing t***, & thick. So is Dorries, ultra thick.
“What else should we call women who are stupid, stupid men? Stupid robots in Turdesa’s case?
“The bxxxxxxx have tried to call Corbyn everything from a f****** IRA man, Czech spy, Kremlin stooge to a communist.”
One user tweeted: “I’m a bit torn with Corbyn calling May a stupid women.
“On one hand she is most definitely a stupid women. On the other hand she is definitely a stupid women.
“Oh, I guess I’m not torn at all.”
Another Twitter user wrote: “Jeremy Corbyn allegedly calls Maybot a stupid woman.
“Speaker Bercow comes under fire from hysterical women demanding Corbyn’s immediate castration, while virtue signalling beta-males beat their chests and tear their hair out!”
