Victoria Beckham and David Beckham, who have been married for 19 years, faced speculation they were ending their relationship this year following an abundance of split rumours.
But after being pictured looking happier than ever on multiple occasions, the Beckhams continually slammed speculation – but never publicly spoke out about the claims, with Victoria’s representative simply labelling them “a crock of s**t”.
Now, in an interview with Vogue magazine, The Spice Girls star Victoria has finally addressed the rumours that have been plaguing the couple for months – and made a bizarre statement about their marriage in the process.
The fashion icon admitted that people have gossiped about their relationship since the get go, but now that the duo have children – Brooklyn Beckham, 19, Romeo Beckham, 16, Cruz Beckham, 13, and Harper Beckham, seven – it’s harder to ignore.
Victoria, 44, who married 43-year-old David in 1999, told the magazine: “People have been making things up about our relationship for 20 years, so David and I are pretty used to ignoring the nonsense and just carrying on as normal.
“But these things have a wider effect on the people around us, and that’s unfair.”

Victoria was interviewed by the magazine to mark 10 years of her iconic brand, and appears on the cover with her children – but husband David is nowhere to be seen.
Speaking about the pair’s relationship, Victoria – who recently holidayed alongside her family and Elton John – made the bizarre and somewhat unromantic claim that: “We both realise that we are stronger together than we are as individuals.
“Would either of us be in the position that we are in now had we not met and been together all those years ago?
“It’s all about the family unit. We are much stronger the six of us, than we would be if we were individuals. We respect that family bond and that is key.”

While the footballer was absent from the cover, he did feature in a snap inside – and publicly praised his gorgeous wife for all her accomplishments on his Instagram page.
He wrote: “Victoria has worked long and hard to build an incredibly successful brand over the last ten years and I am so proud of her. I’m happy to be in a position to support her dreams.
“It was an honour to have been part of the October @britishvogue cover shoot to celebrate @victoriabeckham and my beautiful family, it’s out on Friday. Thank you @edward_enninful.”
