Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has revealed how he will pair midfielder, Mesut Ozil and incoming new signing, Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the Gunners team.
Wenger believes the two playmakers can operate in the same side along with the rest of Gunner’s creative midfielders and attackers.
The Frenchman also pointed out how he paired midfielders and attackers in Arsenal’s 4-1 win against Crystal Palace.
When asked by English reporters how he could fit Mkhitaryan and Ozil into the same team, Wenger explained: “Just play the good players! They can always play together.”
“[Against Crystal Palace] what have you on the pitch? They’re all attacking players.”
“Alex Iwobi, Ozil, Jack Wilshere, Alexandre Lacazette, Granit Xhaka. They’re all offensive players, basically,” he added.
Mkhitaryan has already completed Arsenal medical and also agreed terms on a move that sees Alexis Sanchez moving to Manchester United in a straight swap.
The Emirate club is expected to announce the signing of the Armenian international in the next 48 hours.
