The blonde beauty was then about to be joined on stage by Love Island stars Amber Davies, Jamie Jewitt and Marcel Somerville.
But things took a turn for the worse, as Gemma Collins didn’t realise that the islanders would be appearing on stage from a rising hole in the ground – and fell right into it in front of the nation.
Met by an echo of shocked screams in the crowd, Gemma quickly got up, apologising for what happened as she hugged Marcel following the hilarious incident.
Gemma quickly took to Twitter to alert her 1.29m followers she was OK, writing: “Guys it’s ok I’m alive I’ve always said I’m like Bridget Jones!don’t worry everyone xx best and worst moment of my life.”
She later responded to the painful moment by creating a series of memes, including one of herself embedded into a border to make it look like a National Accident Helpline advert.
The surrounding border read: “Have you had an accident at work?”, with the phone number for the helpline displayed underneath her picture.
