Carol Wright has become the final member of the famous Wright family to quit the popular ITVBe show after a source revealed her decision.
The The Only Way is Essex star has followed in the footsteps of show originals, and her children, Mark Wright and Jessica Wright who also said goodbye to the long running series.
Carol, 56, has not appeared in the current explosive series of TOWIE, but has been missed dearly by fans who presumed she’d already decided to not appear in the show anymore.
At the end of the last series Lydia Bright’s mum, Debbie, announced that she would not be returning to our screens, and now Carol has followed suit by making it official.
A television source told The Sun: “Carol has decided to end her time with the show.
“She didn’t feel like she had a full time place on TOWIE since Debbie and Jess left as she used to film a lot of her scenes with them.

“The show has much more of an open door policy and would happily welcome back Carol when it’s appropriate for a storyline.
“Bosses would never say no to a Wright cameo or return in the future.”
Carol shared many of her scenes with her family members and her best friend Debbie.
Her much-loved mum, Nanny Pat, was also a familiar face seen alongside Carol before she passed away after battling a short illness in 2015.
According to The Sun, “sources close to Carol have revealed that she felt out of place following Lydia and Debbie Bright’s departures.”
Carol originally joined The Only Way Is Essex back in 2011 for its sophomore series, and acted as a periphery character for the next six years often being involved in small side stories with Debbie.
