Giovanni Pernice’s dance partner sparked fears she could miss the final, after admitting she felt “like a zombie”.

As the Strictly Come Dancing final weekend is finally upon the celebrities, Debbie McGee’s ‘mystery illness’ has been revealed as a severe cold.

The symptoms have apparently hindered Debbie’s progress in rehearsals for the final.

She told Daily Star earlier this week: “I feel like a zombie.

The Strictly star appeared on Friday’s It Takes Two and spoke excitedly about performing in the finals, appearing to hit back at any claims that she could miss the final.
