Tubes, 35, revealed to his fans that he was on the mend after the health scare. 

Taking to Instagram, Tubes – who’s real name is Peter Dale – shared a picture of himself in hospital with wires across his chest. 

He wrote: “On Sunday I suffered a very unexpected major heart attack. Can’t thank the surgeons and staff at St. Peters hospital Chertsey and the Ambulance crew enough.

“If it wasn’t for your quick and efficient work I may not have been writing this message now. Thank you.”

The TV star also revealed that he will have to have surgery, saying: “Plenty of work to do and surgery to have but I’m slowly on the road to recovery. Big love, yours in foooooooootball. Tubes x.”

Abbey Clancy was among those wishing Tubes a speedy recovery as she wrote: “Oh my god !! Hope your ok sending love and well wishes x.”

The star recently admitted his battle with alcoholism [Tubes/ Instagram]

Rickie Haywood Williams also sent his support as he wrote: “Get well soon bro.”

It comes after Tubes admitted to having a dependence on alcohol, in an emotional message shared with his 71k Instagram followers on New Year’s Day. 

He wrote: “2017 (and half of 2016) have been the best years of my life because I finally admitted I’m highly addicted to alcohol and enough was enough and had to stop.
