CAF medical committee member Peter Singabele has commended the Chief Executive Officer of Monimichelle Ebi Egbe for the Bayelsa State Sports Summit.
The summit is expected to take place today at the Lady Diama Event Place in Yenagoa with Governor Seriake Dickson the special guest of honour.
Singabele expressed his delight that an indigene of the state initiated the programme aimed at developing Bayelsa sports.
He said, “The summit is significant in many ways. First, this is the first time in the history of the state that stakeholders would be coming together under one roof to discuss the way forward for Bayelsa sports. The summit will galvanise sports in the state. I give kudos to Ebi Egbe for coming up with this idea and going ahead to bankroll it. The summit is a good one and that is why I m throwing my weight behind it.”
Singabele urged participants to bare their minds on how to move Bayelsa sports forward. He stressed that the summit should not be used to blackmail anybody or any group, insisting that sports play the role of unifying people.
