Hey guys,

I married Elliott last month, we had our friends, our family – around 400 people – it was just such a great day!

The wedding feels like ages ago now, it’s mad! Married life has been good, it’s all just been so exciting. It feels weird to wake up every day with a ring on my finger! Elliott’s treating me well, so far so good!

We go on our honeymoon on October 20! It’s my brother’s 21st birthday and we’ve had a cruise booked for a year, so we’re actually starting our honeymoon on a cruise with both of our families. After that we’re jetting off on our own, to Abu Dhabi!

We just want to enjoy each other, and focus on us when we get back!

Watching the wedding back

Watching the show back makes me feel sad, because I want to do it all again! It was such a perfect day, the weather was shining and we had Elliott’s children with us and it was great. I want to do it all again, that’s the only sad thing!

Before the wedding, I had people giving me a lot of advice. They were telling me: ‘Sadie, don’t speak to people for too long, make sure you spend time with Elliott, make sure you both enjoy the night’. And I did, we both did! I’m so thankful for the advice, we honestly enjoyed our day so much. There’s nothing I would change.

Starting a family together

We’re really happy at the moment, we’re not necessarily trying to have a baby but if it happens, it happens. We’re married and very content. But I wouldn’t say we’re going out and trying. It’s obviously something that will happen in the future, but I’m not sure when!

We haven’t really spoken about it. Hopefully we might be doing something else with ITV next year, and if I have a baby, that’s something that will go naturally with your life. As with the wedding, it was what was happening in our lives. If I had a baby, the baby would be seen, but I don’t know if I’d do a Baby Diaries type of thing. I haven’t spoken to Elliott about this, obviously we’ll talk once I am pregnant!

I’ve always been broody. I’ve got so many children in my family. Children is always something that I want. I love it! I love cooking for them while I can hear the Disney Channel in the background! I like that, it reminds me of family life when I was growing up!

My relationship with Elliott’s kids

Elliott’s children – Elliott and Olivia – are like my kids, I love them so much. When they come to stay, we have them every holiday. We have them for the full two months at summer, for Christmas and New Year. When they come to us, they’re here for a long period of time, and we get into a routine.

I step in a their mother figure, and they’re content. I know they love me. They obviously know they have their mum, I would never try and put myself in that position. We’re best friends, at the end of the day. They’re lovely, lovely children. If our children turn out like them I will be very happy!

They had school on the Friday before the wedding, and so Elliott’s friend brought them over that evening. All of Olivia’s cousins were there and they all wanted to spend time with her, but she said: ‘No! I want to stay with Sadie!’ so that was really nice.

We had a little pampering and painted each others’ nails, and had hot chocolate. It was really nice, it meant something to me that she wanted to spend that time with me. There’s a lot of love there!

Mark Wright missing the wedding

We weren’t disappointed at all that Mark didn’t make it. It was sad for all of us that he couldn’t come, but he had this massive opportunity in LA and he could not miss it!

Elliott and Mark are really close, you can see it on the show last week, and at the end of the day, Elliott says business comes before pleasure, and that’s a life-changing step for him. We both said: ‘You’ve got to go!’

There were no hard feelings, and we’re both really happy for him!

We are just heading off on the first leg of our honeymoon but I’ll be writing my next column while away so don’t miss the next chapter as Mrs Wright!

Catch the second part of Elliott and Sadie: The Wedding, on 22nd October, at 9pm, on ITVBe.
