TV presenter Richard Bacon claims he is “so thin I could snap” after fighting for his life and being placed in a medically-induced coma.
The gaunt-looking 42-year-old shared a picture on his Instagram account nine days after he was discharged from hospital.
Seen a hugging a pal in the image, the one-time Blue Peter star told his 10.4k followers: “So thin I could snap. The coma’s eaten me.”
While his caption may have been intended to be jokey, fans were just pleased to see that he is on the mend.
“Scary time for you. Enjoying seeing your posts again. Take it easy smiley man,” wrote one.
“Take care Richard! Hope you begin to get your appetite back very soon and start to feel so much better! Very relieved that you are out of the woods though,” agreed a second.

Doctors took emergency action to put him into a coma after he was struck down with a mystery illness and failed to respond to treatment when travelling to the UK from the US.
The dad-of-two had been in a critical condition for a week after initially being diagnosed with pneumonia in both his lungs.
It had been touch and go with his concerned family and Richard himself admitting that he had “almost died”.
On finally being discharged, Richard paid tribute to his wife Rebecca who kept a vigil by his bedside.
Sharing a heartwarming image of him and his partner holding hands with his hospital gown visible, he wrote: “Every facet of my life would be worse without Rebecca in it.
How will I ever thank her? I was in a coma for nine or ten nights total (I just learned). That’s a lot of staring at your husband and his pipes. And a lot of worry.”
