Professor Green has opened up on his “self loathing”, sensitive and “emotional” nature amid his split with Fae Williams.

The pair are said to have called time on their year-long relationship on Wednesday, with the stunning model now moving out of their London home.

Hours before their break up was revealed the chart star, real name Stephen Manderson, shared his perception of himself in a candid blog post.

In his first upload for Learning To Adult Slowly on website The Book Of Man, which aims to support males suffering with depression and anxiety, the 34 year old details his troubled childhood which saw his father commit suicide.

He tells readers how he was “strong enough” to walk away from confrontation in his “fractured” childhood, during which he was raised by his much-loved nan, and detailed his schooldays in east London.

Chart star Pro Green then contemplates the stereotype of an alpha male and his consequent place in the world as a man in the frank piece.

He asks readers: “How do I know what you know about me? Possibly nothing.

“There goes that masculine ego. Possibly you know nothing.

“I’m a fatherless, early school leaving (not one single GCSE), music and more recently documentary making; book writing; ex drug dealing; dog loving; caring; careless; self-loathing; cat-disliking (hate is too strong a word); drinking and drug taking; self-doubting; over-thinking; impulsive; impatient; sensitive; emotional; strong (at times); weak (at others); sufferer of depression and above all, my most defining quality (but I had to think about it) I’d probably say, anxious… man?”

Website The Book Of Man launched this week in a bid to help men who are confused about what it means to be a man today and want to explore a New Masculinity.

Never one to shy away from self-analysis, Pro Green has been candid in documenting his struggles on TV.

So far, he has failed to address split rumours since they surfaced.
