When Prince Harry, 32, and Meghan Markle, 36, confirmed their relationship as girlfriend and boyfriend, the world was obsessed with the latest UK royal news and updates regarding the couple being together and whether or not they are engaged.
And now an insider has claimed that Prince Harry doesn’t want an extravagant ceremony when he walks down the aisle with his Suits actress girlfriend.
“Pomp and pageantry is the last thing he would want,” claims a source close to Prince William’s brother.
“I can see him wanting to get married at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
“It would stop it from turning into a total media circus and give the day a sense of privacy that Harry so badly craves”, the insider told Us Weekly.
As for whether his grandmother The Queen will attend, the insider was adamant that she would be there: “Of course. No question.”
Prince Harry’s girlfriend has recently been seen being driven around London in a Volkswagon – which is reportedly due to the fact that the royal family has a deal with the car company.
Speculation is rife therefore that the ginger royal paid for the car for Meghan, fuelling engagement rumours.
The Suits star, who plays Rachel Zane, made her first official public appearance with her royal boyfriend at the Invictus Games in Toronto.
The former lifestyle blogger – who has an interesting family – and the royal have been in a relationship since November 2016, and it appears to be serious, with speculation rising that the Prince is expected to propose any day now.
Meghan is even reported to have met the Queen already – way before pregnant Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton had her first meeting before marrying Prince William and having children Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
