Lifetime have released the first trailer for their upcoming movie about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The Royal Love Story back in January, and they’ll release the film chronicling the couple’s relationship in May to coincide with their wedding.
Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, met through mutual friends in 2016, and their secret courtship and scrutiny they faced when their romance hit the headlines will make up the film’s plot.
The movie trailer teases their engagement, which took place in November 2017 when Harry proposed whilst Meghan cooked them a roast dinner.
The flame-haired actor playing Harry is seen getting down on one knee and delivering the cheesy line: “I don’t need my life to be this perfect royal picture. I just need you”.
The Royals director Menhaj Huda is directing, whilst Merideth Finn and Michele Weiss have executive produced the project.

Lifetime, who made a movie about Britney Spears last year, spun a similar tale about the prince’s older brother, Prince William, and his now-wife Duchess Catherine, titled William & Kate: The Movie, and it broadcast 11 days before they got married in April 2011.
The royal couple may even watch the movie as it was claimed they love cuddling up together on the sofa and indulging in their favourite programmes.
According to reports, Harry and the former Suits actress can’t get enough of shows like BBC’s Feud, Spiral and McMafia.
But, they are also huge fans of the popular streaming service Netflix.
An insider said: “They’re spending as much time as they can on their own together, with lots of casual suppers and TV.”
