Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement in a private meeting with the Royal household on Friday (14 November 2017), according to reports.
Family members and palace staff reportedly gathered at Buckingham, with the Queen in attendance, as the flame-haired Prince and his actress girlfriend delivered the news that the world has been waiting to hear.
An unverified source told the Daily Star Online: “They are engaged but they are trying to sort a few things out now, like house hunting for a retreat and other things.”
The couple’s meeting apparently took place this afternoon and the type of ceremony they will have was discussed, with it being decided that they will buck royal procedure and marry in a “non-traditional wedding”.
The source added: “It was unbelievable as we have never had two big meetings in one day”.
It was also reported that the Queen gave the pair there blessing to announce it when they are ready.

“Her Majesty said Harry hasn’t got the same responsibility as William which I know Harry is very happy with,” the source continued.
“It will be up to them to decide when to announce it as they want to do it their own way, which Her Majesty agrees with.”
The news comes as it was revealed this week that the 33-year-old Prince has been house hunting for a place for the couple to live.
TV presenter Adam Hills revealed on Loose Women: “I can’t give away too much but I can know for a fact [Prince Harry] is house hunting.
Adam continued: ”I can’t say anymore. That’s all I know and I can’t tell you how I know,” before making a joke to get the shocked panellists to discuss something else.
He said: ”I’m a royal estate agent! [Prince Harry] buying because it’s something to do with the changes in stamp duty – he’s a first time buyer!”
