The Duchess of Cambridge, who is pregnant with her third child, looked incredible as she attended the event, in a floor-length Diane von Furstenberg Zarita gown.
And, while Prince William’s wife wife has previously worn the black, lace-sleeved dress, it turns out Meghan Markle has also opted for the outfit.
Prince Harry’s girlfriend put her own spin on the dress, which she chose in navy – however, later admitted she was not a fan of the look.
In a recent interview, she told Glamour magazine she found the whole outfit “try hard”.
“I was going to this event and there was this DVF lace dress with a zipper up the back, and it was so fitted, and had tea length sleeves… I bought one in navy and black,” the Suits actress – who is rumoured to be announcing her engagement soon – explained.
“It was too tight, and too short, and my hair was too polished, and everything about it was trying too hard.”

But it looks like Kate doesn’t agree with the 36 year old, bringing out the dress for the second time, as she attended the gala at Kensington Palace.
It was revealed she is pregnant with her third child back on September 4, with officials releasing a statement which read: “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their child.
“The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.
“As with their previous two pregnancies, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Her Royal Highness will no longer carry out her planned engagement at the Hornsey Road Children’s Centre in London today.”
A statement later released by the Palace later confirmed Prince George and Princess Charlotte would be joined by a baby brother or sister early next year.
Revealing her due date, it read: “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in April 2018.”
