Shirley Frimpong-Manso’s “Potato Potahto” has premiered in Lagos, Nigeria.
The premiere took place on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Filmhouse Imax cinema, Lekki, Lagos.
Potato Potahto’s Afropolitan themed premiere was attended by cast members such as Joselyn Dumas, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Lala Akindoju, Nikki Samonas and Joke Silva.
Shirley Frimpong-Manso and Inya Lawal, who co-produced the movie were also in attendance.
The premiere which was hosted by Ade Laoye, was also attended by Mo Abudu, Betty Irabor, Hilda Dokubo, Kate Henshaw, Uzor Osimkpa, Kunle Remi and Ufuoma McDermott.
The movie was first screened at the prestigious Cannes International Film festival in May, and has since screened at several other festivals.
Potato Potahto” tells the story of a divorced couple, who decide to share a house together after their separation.
“Potato Potahto” is written and directed by Shirley Frimpong-Manso, and co-produced by WB Entertainment, 19 April Entertainment, Ascend International Studio, Virgo Sun LTD and Lufodo Productions.
The movie is set for release on November 24 in Nigeria and South Africa, and November 30 in Ghana.
