Super Eagles captain, John Obi Mikel has stated that Argentina will receive the same treatment as Iceland when they clash in today’s final Group D 2018 World Cup fixture at the Krestovsky Stadium, Saint Petersburg.
The former Chelsea star is confident that fellow teammate, Ahmed Musa can use his speed against the La Albiceleste.
The Eagles head into the game after defeating Iceland 2-0 in their second game, thanks to Musa brace, while the South Americans were humiliated 3-0 by Croatia.
But Mikel believes Gernot Rohr’s side is made up of players who are very fast and will beat the South Americans to advance to the last sixteen.
”We have a good mix in the team, players that can hold the ball and players that are really fast,” Mikel told fifa.com
”Ahmed Musa brought speed for us in the last game and it helped us to succeed. Hopefully, we can keep on playing like this because this is what we always wanted.”
The kick off time for the match is 7 pm.
