When Meghan Markle and Prince Harry marry on May 19 2018 in Windsor, all eyes will be on the bride.
Speculation about what dress the former actress will wear on her wedding day is already mounting, and fans can’t wait to know what designer she opts for.
However whatever her choice, it would seem it will need to cost less than Kate Middleton’s to avoid upstaging her, according to a royal expert.
It’s been reported she’s set to follow in Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton’s footsteps and have two gowns for her big day.
Prince William’s wife Kate changed out of her Alexander McQueen dress into a second gown designed by Sarah Burton during their April 2011 ceremony.
The Duchess’ lace gown reportedly cost in the region of £250,000.

And while Meghan had been rumoured to be eyeing up a Ralph and Russo gown, royal expert Katie Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight: “There have been reports that [Meghan’s] considering spending hundreds of thousands of pounds on a wedding dress.
“I think that’s incredibly unlikely.”
She added: “I think it was very unlikely that Meghan would spend more than that and in doing so try and upstage a future queen.
“I don’t think she’s going to want to get royal life off to a start where she’s criticised for spending something like £400,000 on a wedding dress.”
