Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are engaged to be married, and royal fans everywhere couldn’t be more excited for the 2018 wedding, which is taking place in Windsor Castle in May 2018.
It’s Meghan’s second wedding, after the Suits actress married film director Trevor Engelson in 2011, but later divorced in 2013, the 36 year old wore a very simple dress when she tied the knot the first time around on a beach in Jamaica.
Meghan’s character Rachel Zane in Suits wore an Anna Barge design for her wedding day on the series, and apparently had a lot of input in the creation.
So, what will Meghan Markle’s wedding dress be like when she marries Prince Harry next year?
Meghan Markle’s first wedding dress
Meghan married her boyfriend of seven years in 2011 on a beach in Jamaica.
For the occasion, Meghan was almost casual in a white sleeveless column dress, with only a silver belt added a touch of glamour.

Rachel Zane wore a big wedding dress with a full skirt and a strappy plunging neckline for her wedding to boyfriend Mike Ross.
It had an overlay of embroidered material and was an off-white colour with a fairytale look.
Meghan is thought to have had a lot of say when it came to the design – which was by Anna Barge – but later admitted it wasn’t her personal style.
Meghan Markle could choose a Canadian brand
The American actress likes to support Canadian brands and wore a Canadian coat for her royal engagement announcement, which caused the website to immediately to crash.
Meghan isn’t Canadian but has been living in Toronto for ages while she works on her television series, Suits.
It’s thought Meghan will continue to support Canadian brands.
What has Meghan Markle said about wedding dresses?
According to the MailOnline, Meghan has previously said in an interview she likes something “classic and simple” and admitted Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy’s wedding dress was her “everything goals.”
She also told Glamour: “Classic and simple is the name of the game, perhaps with a modern twist.
“I personally prefer wedding dresses that are whimsical or subtly romantic.”
Who will design Meghan Markle’s bridal gown?
Meghan has a whole host of designer friends, with Misha NoNoo thought to have set the new royal couple up.
Misha designs ready-to-wear clothes and is yet to create a wedding dress, but may do for one of her closest friends. The crisp white husband shirt Meghan wore for her first appearance with Prince Harry in Toronto was a Misha design.
Other potential designers – based on outfits Meghan’s previously worn and her friendship circle – include British designer Antonio Berardi, who is known for his figure-hugging designs and Roland Mouret, who is a French designer and a good friend of Meghans, the Duchess of Cambridge has also worn his creations.
Victoria Beckham attended Kate Middleton and Prince William’s wedding in 2011 and it would be a nod to Harry’s British roots.
Meghan has previously admitted she’ll “always be a fan of Ellie Saab” in an interview about her perfect bridal gown with Glamour, so the Lebanese designer could well be in the mix for the royal wedding dress.
In the same interview she said of French designer J.Mantel: “J. Mendel is spectacular as well, especially for more structural designs.”
