Meghan Markle pregnant: Celebrities congratulate couple as Kensington Palace announce Prince Harry and Meghan Markle expecting first child together

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are expecting their first child together – six months after their royal wedding in May.

The exciting news was announced by a statement released by Kensington Palace, reading: “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019.”

“Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”

And of course, just minutes after the news broke of the royal couple’s baby news, hoards of excited celebrities took to social media to congratulate them.

Leading the congratulations was Vicky Pattison, who exclaimed: “Omg!!! I am so unbelievably happy for these two lovebirds!!! What a year it’s been for the Royals!! Imagine harry as a dad man?? Too cute!!”

Waking up to the happy news,  Holly Willoughby took to Twitter to reveal her and Phillip Schofield will be discussing the announcement on This Morning.

And hearalding Meghan and Harry as “inspirational”, Scarlett Moffatt asked fans what they think they’ll call their baby.

Other celebs to congratulate the couple were, Love Island’s Dr. Alex George, Loose Women’s Kaye Adams and Kady McDermott.

With Kensington Palace announcing the baby news in October 2018, this means the couple are expecting a spring baby.

This means the royal addition will be born in 2019.
