Prince Harry’s future bride Meghan Markle stepped out at the Commonwealth Youth Forum on Wednesday April 18, wearing a gorgeous pin-striped dress and sky high heels.
The former Suits actress looked as stylish as ever, but she also seemed to be making a subtle statement by the unique way she opted to wear her bag – something she has been pictured doing on past royal engagements.
While Kate Middleton and the Queen often hold their tiny clutch bags in their hands, Meghan had her arms free after pulling the strap of her accessory over her head and across her chest.
And a lot can be said about the 36 year old’s choice of style, as her decision to place her bag at the side of her body could be a sign of her independent self image.
Body language expert Kathlyn Hendricks told Glamour magazine about the hidden message.
She explained: “Pair the carry with a wide stride and loose limbs and you find ‘an urban warrior with a clear goal’. The bag is incidental to her independent self-image, flung on for its functionality.”

In the photos from Meghan and Harry’s latest royal engagement, Meghan has her blazer flung effortlessly over her shoulders and her bag poking out beneath.
As she happily greeted the awaiting representatives at the Commonwealth Youth Forum, the accessory was in clear view and has since been revealed as an Oroton piece, costing £171.
Meghan has certainly broken a lot of traditions since taking on her role as a future Duchess.
And her fashionista status is a very modern aspect she is brining to the royal family.
