Geordie Shore starlet Marnie Simpson, 27, has opened up about how she’s going to step away from the spotlight – after if left her feeling “stressed” and two stone heavier.
“I’m stepping back and I am going to focus on myself for a while,” she told The Sun.
“I did seven TV shows back to back and it made me so stressed. I felt stressed and drained after I finished Ex On The Beach.
“I didn’t really get to see my family or friends and I was always getting judged by people on social media.”
The star, who joined the MTV show Geordie Shore over five years ago, was reported to have left the reality hit earlier this year.
It was claimed that Marnie Simpson had quit Geordie Shore after a furious Twitter rant saw her brand it “scripted” and “fake.”

Newcastle-set Geordie Shore has seen the likes of Charlotte Crosby, Holly Hagan, Gaz Beadle and Marnie’s ex Aaron Chalmers all quit in the past few years.
And explaining her exit to viewers, Marnie revealed that the show just didn’t feel the same without them.
Taking to Twitter, the 26 year old told her followers: “For everyone keep asking I have in fact permanently left Geordie Shore, it was just time to move on.
“It just wasn’t the same without everyone who left and I made the decision to leave.
“It was a wild five years and I’m really thankful I got to do it!”
