PSG’s Champions League hopes may have suffered a major blow as Neymar was stretchered off in tears after suffering an ankle injury in a Ligue 1 clash with Marseille on Sunday.
Neymar tangled with midfielder Bouna Sarr in the 76th minute and landed awkwardly on his ankle.
The Brazilain attacker shed tears as he was being carried off the pitch.
He now faces a serious race against time to be ready for the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie against Real Madrid.
The French giants found themselves trailing 3-1 after the first leg in the Spanish capital against the defending champions, with the second leg taking place in nine days at the Parc des Princes.
Manager Unai Emery’s side may well be without their key man who has scored 28 goals in 29 matches this season.
However, PSG eased to a 3-0 win over Marseille with goals from Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani, with Neymar also forcing an own goal from Rolando before the crash.
