Love Island star Laura Crane has been rushed to hospital with sepsis.
Reality TV stunner Laura, 23, fell ill with the blood disease three days ago, with her family stating they are “praying for a full recovery”.
Sepsis is a potentially life-threatening condition which is a serious complication of an infection – and can lead to multiple organ failure.
It’s also known as blood poisoning, and occurs when large amounts of bacteria enter the bloodstream.
Laura’s representative told The Sun Online: “Laura is sadly quite unwell.
“She was rushed in on Tuesday and they quickly diagnosed sepsis.
“It’s taking time to control her temperature and rid her blood of the infection, but it had spread quite rapidly.
“A scary time for her and her family but we’re praying she makes a full recovery in the next couple of days.”
Laura herself shared an image of the window from her hospital bed, captioning the shot with: “No more hospitals I beg, pray I go home tomorrow.”
Laura rose to fame in the summer after facing for fellow islander hunk Jack Fowler.
But shortly after the pair left the dating show, they sadly called it quits on their romance.
She said at the time: “Sadly Jack and I have both decided to go our separate ways due to such busy schedules right now and not having the time to spend together. Feel truly blessed to have got to share my Love Island experience with him and to have made a friend for life.
“We will carry on supporting each other on this journey and I can’t wait to see where it takes us.”
