Love Island star Laura Crane was rushed into hospital with sepsis and is yet to have been discharged.
The reality TV star was discovered to have the life threatening blood disease and admitted into hospital to be taken care of last Sunday.
The blonde pro surfer has not been allowed to leave the hospital until she is completely clear of the infection.
Her rep updated The Sun Online of the blonde’s status: “She’s still in hospital bless her. It’s taken a lot out of her and until they’ve got rid of the infection she won’t be able to go home.
“It will be closing up to a week if she’s still in there tomorrow. It’s a case of testing her every day.
“She’s been incredibly lucky, it’s very hard for an athlete to be out of training for this amount of time too.”
The 23 year old has been keeping her 616k followers updated on Instagram by posting photos to her story sharing how she is doing with her recovery,
In one snap, Laura shared an image of the window from her hospital bed, captioning the shot with: “No more hospitals I beg, pray I go home tomorrow.”
In another she laid on her front taking a selfie writing: “day 3…I hate being” and finished the sentence off with a unwell emoji.
Laura rose to fame in the summer after falling for fellow islander hunk Jack Fowler.
But shortly after the pair left the dating show, they sadly called it quits on their romance.
She said at the time: “Sadly Jack and I have both decided to go our separate ways due to such busy schedules right now and not having the time to spend together. Feel truly blessed to have got to share my Love Island experience with him and to have made a friend for life.
“We will carry on supporting each other on this journey and I can’t wait to see where it takes us.”
