Love Island star Laura Anderson and Paul Knops, 31, split less than two months after leaving the ITV2 show, on which they came in second place.
The 29 year old reality star has revealed that she was “shocked” by the split and has found it difficult going through a break-up in the public eye.
Speaking exclusively to OK! Online at the Impulse Body Mist range launch, Laura said: “I’m ok, I was a bit shocked.
“I mean it’s hard. Any break up is hard, but I guess it’s harder in the limelight. He’s very respectful and you just have to get on with it.”
The Scottish beauty continued to say: “It obviously wasn’t meant to be.”
Joining Laura at the event were her Love Island co-stars Dani Dyer and Samira Mighty, along with other stars, Tina Stinnes and Taylor Ward.
Laura wore a structured orange blazer and leather trousers with leopard print heels, with her toned midriff on show.
Dani wore an open-back white blouse, jeans and high pony tail, while Samira looked cute in a leather baker boy cap and chunky trainers with a T-shirt and trousers.
Speaking previously to OK! Magazine about her split from Paul, Laura admitted: “When we came out of the villa there was a lot of work related things we did together and then Paul went away for three weeks.
“He went to the Burning Man festival in America and he couldn’t get phone signal for a week. I was absolutely fine with that.
“I trusted him not to do things with other girls, which he didn’t.”
But after thinking things would be back on track when he returned from his trip, Laura admitted it just wasn’t the same.
“I was hoping that when he came back we’d spend more time together and build a proper relationship out of the villa. It didn’t happen,” she added.
