Love Island runner up Laura Anderson failed to post any snaps alongside Paul Knops for days, with some eagle-eyed fans questioning if the cute duo were still an item.
But speaking exclusively to OK! Online at The Animal Hero Awards 2018, in partnership with Webbox and RSPCA, Laura – who still is not official with model Paul – revealed exactly where her other half had been, before confirming she was “scared” to commit to a relationship.
“Look, we’re together,” the 29 year old said. “He booked this festival bless him, it cost him a fortune – God’s honest truth. It’s Burning Man in Nevada, and he booked it with about 30 of his mates before he came on to the show.
“He was umming and ahhing about whether he should go or not. I said: ‘Look, it’s up to you, it’s a pretty crucial time… but just enjoy it.’”
Paul finally arrived back in the UK on Friday after his festival stint, and admitted that he was unable to contact home or share any updates due to there being no signal in the Nevada desert.
Laura – who recently confirmed she’d had lip fillers since leaving the villa – continued: “He felt bad as soon as he left, but he’s coming back on Friday. He has a PA on Saturday night, and I’m just going to go with him.”
While the majority of couples made things official either on or just after the show finished, Paul and Laura still haven’t become boyfriend and girlfriend.
But Laura admits that the pair’s busy schedules are holding them back from becoming a couple just yet.
“I think this is partly why it’s difficult to be like: ‘Shall we make this official?’ – especially because we’re older, and you don’t want to be like, ‘Oh, another relationship that didn’t work out’.

“I’m scared to get into a relationship that won’t work out. I want to know that it will go the distance. So we’ll wait a little bit longer. But definitely before Christmas!”

When asked if Paul might pop the question in an exciting way, she added: “I feel like Instagram needs it, it’s like a proposal! I’m excited for it.
“I’m just moving into my new place, and he’s just getting his place back – before that we were staying at hotels, or sleeping on his friend’s couch. It has been hard.”
