Love Island’s Kady McDermott shared a cryptic message as she prepared for a new year, branding 2017 “the best and worst year of her life”.
The TV star, who met her beau on Love Island in 2016, split from Scott earlier this year after their “fiery” relationship came to an end.
And the brunette beauty has taken to social media to thank fans for their support as she hinted that the split had made her a “stronger person”.
Writing on Twitter, the 22-year-old said: “2017 has been the best and also the worst year of my life. Lost people in my life but have also gained people.
“But I’m going into 2018 healthy and the happiest I’ve ever been surrounded by the best people who just bring me up and drive me to be better.”
Kady added: “2017 was the year of growing up. The amount of lessons I’ve learnt, most being the hard way, has made me a stronger person.”

The couple have had a turbulent few months, opting to stay quiet on their relationship earlier this year when they were first hit with split claims.
It later emerged they had separated and that Kady McDermott moved out of the home they shared in Manchester to return to her hometown.
“Scott and Kady have split again,” a source told The Sun Online. “Their relationship was really fiery and they couldn’t stop arguing – they just weren’t getting on at all.
“They’re both really sad to split and obviously the timing makes it worse with it being the run-up to Christmas.”
The gorgeous brunette appeared to hint that she and Manchester-based Scott got too serious in their relationship too quickly.
She said: “After Love Island, I moved in with Scott straight away. We were constantly with each other, which can be a bit too much. We’ve got our differences but we are similar in all the wrong places. We’re both argumentative and stubborn, which doesn’t help.”
