The Love Island 2016 star was scheduled to switch on the Christmas lights in the town where she grew up, Welwyn Garden City.
But Kady Mcdermott, 22, was pulled from the role, after a petition from some of the town’s parents claimed she was a bad influence to children.
Sharing her response to the petition, Scott Thomas’ ex girlfriend ranted on Snapchat to hit back at the trolls.
Revealing the shocking abuse she has received online, an emotional Kady said: “The comments that came with [the petition] are absolutely disgusting.
“I’ve been called a s**g, a s**t – these are [from] people that didn’t even watch Love Island and [see] that I was with the one boy the whole time I was on that show.”
She continued: “[They said] I shouldn’t be on the planet, I shouldn’t have the privilege to turn on the lights, I’m disgusting, I’m a waste of space…

“Honestly the comments I’ve read today from people where I grew up – who don’t know me on a personal level – are absolutely disgusting…
“I get that not everyone likes Love Island, but I’ve been treated to today like I’m on Crimewatch – you’d think Hitler was turning the lights on.”
Kady claims that the vile comments had all come “from mums”.
She ends her rant: “If you’re one of those people who have said those things today, would you like your daughter to be treated the way I was abused today?”
Following the petition – where parents threatened to boycott the event – it was announced the makeup entrepreneur’s appearance was cancelled.
However, many were quick to hit back at the decision, defending Kady.
