Love Island viewers were left shocked after Samira Mighty sensationally announced she was leaving the villa to pursue a romance with Frankie Foster on Thursday.
The West End performer travelled back to the UK to be reunited with her beau, with her romantic airport homecoming being aired on Love Island’s Aftersun on Sunday.
But Frankie was forced to hit back over claims that the scenes were “fake” after fans accused producers of setting up the heart-warming moment in which the couple run into each others arms.
Taking to Instagram the 22-year-old business management student hit back when one fan asked: “Was the meet up at the airport fake?? Love yous btw x”.
Frankie responded: “Not fake & thank you”.
It comes after the fitness coach melted hearts by declaring his love for Samira, and confirmed they were official in front of viewers on Aftersun.

Speaking to his love interest, Frankie said: “In there what you’ve seen was so much fun with Sam but, since we’ve come out we’ve had the best time.
“So I don’t just want you to be my couple on Love Island, I want to know if you want to be my girlfriend,” he gushed.
After presenting his new girlfriend with a bouquet of flowers, presenter Caroline Flack then screamed: “You are so cute, officially a couple on Aftersun!”
Speaking out about the romantic surprise at the airport, Samira added: “It was honestly so weird seeing you at the airport. I was super happy that you came and surprised me.”
She added to Caroline: “I definitely think I made the right choice, I got my man. I was miserable in there, fallen in love sitting on the swing and thinking ‘what is life?’”
