Love Island fans have well and truly fallen in love with Dr. Alex George in the villa.
The unlucky in love doctor – who is up for elimination from the villa on Friday – has won the nation’s hearts as he stood up to Eyal Booker in their battle to win the affections of new girl Megan Barton Hanson.
But now a former flame has come forward and claimed he isn’t as sweet and innocent as meets the eye, branding him a “bit of a player” and claiming he boasts about his money.
The reality star, 27, is said to have chatted to the mystery girl, 23, over text – bragging about his high flying job and his wage.
She told the Daily Star: “I was really into it. He seemed super sweet because he was really into his job and he was working at Lewisham hospital in A&E, he was the person that was looking after pregnant women if they came into A&E, so I was really into that.
“He got a little bit cocky, he knew he had money, even though he wasn’t quite high up or anything… He was always sending me pictures of things that he thought would impress me, like his car and nights out with his friends.”

The pair reportedly chatted on dating app Bumble last year, but never actually met up.
When they first matched, the mystery girl thought Alex was “really sweet,” but she was put off when he started sending pictures of his expensive possessions, including his car.
She added: “I just wasn’t into it. When I stopped talking to him he didn’t try again, he was a typical player, I imagine he was talking to other girls at the time. I just didn’t like his vibe.”
OK! Online have approached Love Island for comment.
This isn’t the first time that Alex has come under fire for his treatment of women outside the villa, after an ex claimed he “ghosted” her before using her “for sex”.
Much like the mystery girl, Emma, who he met on Tinder in 2016, also told The Sun Online that while Alex originally “seemed like a dream”, he constantly brought up his job.
“He was also a doctor – not that it mattered to me – although it clearly did to him, as he kept mentioning what he did for a job,” his former flame explained.
