Louis Tomlinson’s sister Lottie pays touching tribute to mum Johannah Deakin one year on from tragic death: 'My angel in the sky'

Lottie Tomlinson has revealed her tattoo is a tribute to her late mum Johannah DeakinLottie Tomlinson and sister Lottie lost their mum to leukaemia[Twitter]

Remembering her mum on the anniversary of her death, the sister of One Direction star Louis Tomlinson took to Instagram to share a sweet tribute.

Alongside a selfie of her mum smiling, Lottie Tomlinson, 19, wrote: “1 year today. We were meant to have forever together but even that wouldn’t have been long enough. 

“Thank you for being my angel in the sky and showing me how it feels to have been loved by you.”

The make-up artist and Rainbow Roots author was then flooded with supportive messages from fans.

Johanna Deakin died aged 42, after having been diagnosed with leukaemia months before.

Her husband, Dan, released a statement to announce the family’s tragic news.

“It is with immeasurable sadness that Johannah Deakin’s family said goodbye to Johannah in the early hours of Wednesday 7th December 2016. 

“Earlier this year Johannah Deakin was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of leukaemia that required immediate and continuous treatment.

“We respectfully request that the family are given time and space to grieve in private.”

Johannah had seven children including make-up artist Lottie Tomlinson and two-year-old twins Ernest and Doris. 

Dan continued:  “Johannah was first and foremost a truly amazing mother to seven children – Louis (24), Lottie (19), Félicité (17), and two sets of twins, Phoebe and Daisy (13) and Ernest and Doris (3)  – whose individual talents and success are testament to the principles and beliefs she instilled in them. 

“She was also an incredibly proud grandmother to Freddie.”
