President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki, has lauded the good people of Kwara State, for turning out enmase to vote for candidates of their choice in the Saturday’s local government election.
This was even as he described the conduct of the elections in Kwara as very peaceful and commendable.
Speaking with journalists after he voted at Opobiyi, Agbaji polling centre in Ilorin West local government area of the state, Saraki appreciated the voters for the large turnout, saying such civil obligation would go a long way to bring development to the grassroots.
He was particularly impressed by the peaceful atmosphere under which the election was conducted.
A statement signed by his Special Assistant on New Media, Oluwole Premolar, said, the Senate President thanked the people of the state for their orderliness and peaceful disposition before and during the poll.
