Kim Kardashian West and husband Kanye West are one of the most high profile celebrity couples.
However, Kanye’s recent outbursts and show of public support for Donald Trump has been faced with some criticism and his wife Kim is said to be concerned about how this will affect her own reputation.
Earlier this month, the mother of North, Saint and Chicago seemingly denied being “embarrassed” by her husband after he appeared on Saturday Night Live.
During his appearance on SNL Kanye wore a Make America Great Again cap, which he later claimed he was told to take off before they begun filming.
But Kim stood by her husband, taking to Instagram amid the backlash after his appearance to share a loved-up photo of the couple, writing: “We got love”.
However, Kim is reportedly not so happy behind closed doors.
Kanye was invited to the White House to meet Donald Trump earlier this week and her husband’s behaviour has apparently become too much.
During their meet-up, Kanye gave a speech in which he said: “Trump is on his hero’s journey right now.”
A source told Closer magazine: “Kim’s admitted to her inner circle how fed up she is of having to deal with Kanye’s constant outbursts and she’s nervous that he could single-handedly destroy the career she’s worked so hard to build.
“Kris [Jenner] and other family members have even told her she needs to temporarily separate from him.”
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star apparently feels torn over wanting to defend her husband and fearing the backlash from fans.
OK! online has contacted a representative for Kim to provide a comment.
Earlier this year Kanye sparked outrage when he said “slavery is a choice” and Kim later said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight: “Did I scream about it? Did I cry about it? Did I fight about it? Yeah”, before adding they “have different views at times”.
