Following reports Kerry Katona was kicked out of the group – which she starred in alongside Natasha Hamilton and Liz McClarnon – the mum of five has shared a video to reveal why Atomic Kitten came to an end.
“Morning everybody, I just want to set the record straight,” she began the clip on Instagram.
“There is a story today that I am being forced to sing Atomic Kitten songs in panto. I’m not being forced, it was my idea to sing Whole Again.
“I’m very proud of Atomic Kitten. No one will ever take that away from me. I was never ever kicked out of the band, the three of us all decided to knock it on the head…”
She continued: “We have so much more lined up separately and as individuals next year which we all want to concentrate on.
“And pantomime is absolutely fantastic, I’m loving it. Come and watch it.”

Kerry filmed the video seemingly during a break from rehearsals for her role in pantomime Sleeping Beauty at Middleton Arena – she stars as Carabosse in the show.
Her explanation clip comes following claims she branded bandmate Natasha a “toxic c**t”.
The incident reportedly took place in October after Kerry had a rant to an audience during a personal appearance at Kiki.
According to reports, when a judge told the mum of five to “lose the ginger” – meaning Natasha Hamilton – she replied: “I’m not being funny, Atomic Kitten – I always saw her as toxic c***.”
It was then reported that Natasha and fellow bandmate Liz told Kerry her time in the band was over during a gig at Butlins last weekend, according to The Daily Star.
A source apparently told the newspaper: “Natasha is adamant that Kerry is out of the band. Management are hoping to smooth things over but it’s not looking likely.”
