Outspoken reality star Katie Hopkins has had her controversial say on the Celebrity Big Brother drama that saw Roxanne Pallett accuse Ryan Thomas of “punching her in the ribs”.
Katie shared a video assuring former Emmerdale star Roxanne she “could have done worse things” after backlash from her accusations led her to flee the house.
“Roxanne has left the Celebrity Big Brother house by the back door. I don’t think she wanted to go through the front door because she would have had to face the mob braying for her blood,” Katie began her video.
She continued: “But I think a few things are worth remembering; inside that house it’s a competition for attention, Roxanne has gone with the thing that she knows best, which is that women can get attention by complaining about men.”
Making her political views clear, Katie added accused the #MeToo movement of “grooming” people like Roxanne, adding: “And that’s exactly what she’s done, when you think about it really – the #MeToo movement… all the rest of them with their vagendas. They’re complicit in this kind of behaviour, they have groomed people like Roxanne to do this kind of thing.
She then advised the actress wait for it “to all blow over” before apologising to Ryan.
The former Apprentice candidate added: “Number two: Roxanne, if you’re listening to this, this may feel like the worst time of your life but it isn’t.
“This isn’t the worst thing you could have done and I’ve certainly done much worse. Get your head down, let the storm blow over and when it blows over get out there and tell everyone you’ve been an utter c***womble, you’ve been an utter dilbert and you’re very sorry for what you did.
“Because you need to apologise for what you’ve done to that boy.”
She finished the video shared with her 864k Twitter followers: “And lastly Roxanne, I do hope today nobody gives you a ‘pinch, punch, first of the month’ darling… All the best.”
Roxanne left the Big Brother house on Friday evening, but was urged to “tell the truth” about the incident by housemate Nick Leeson before her exit.
After confusing housemates over what really went on, Roxanne was seen speaking to Nick in the living room, who urged her: “In my opinion, you need to do the right thing…Tell the truth.”
Celebrity Big Brother continues on Channel 5 at 9pm.
