In fact, we invite you to scroll back through pictures of Kate Middleton when she’s not styled with the classic clutch.
No matter what the outfit, the mum of two (who is pregnant with baby number three) always has a clutch bag to match.
And now it’s been revealed there’s one very good reason why Kate is never seen without the accessory.
Speaking to Good Housekeeping, founder of Beaumont Etiquett – Myka Meier – revealed it’s used to avoid shaking hands.
She said: “When the Duchess is at an event, she holds her bag in front of her in both hands when shaking hands might be awkward.”
However, Etiquette expert William Hanson doesn’t believe Prince William’s wife shouldn’t use the accessory to avoid shaking hands.

He told the Mail Online: “The Duchess of Cambridge may well prefer not to shake hands with certain people – but there are other ways to achieve this, as used by The Queen and other members of the royal family.
He explained: “It is protocol that you do not extend your hand to any member of the royal family (blood royal or those who have married in to the family) unless their hand extends first.
Adding: “With more experience, The Duchess of Cambridge will soon realise that she needn’t be too nice, extend and shake hands with everyone,’ he said.
“A courteous smile at those whom she does not have time to shake hands will suffice.”
But it’s not the only unusual trend Kate likes to exercise over and over again.
And this isn;t the only fashion rule the royal lives by.
For example, there’s one outfit she must pack on every trip she goes on.
According to Mamamia, Kate is required to pack a black outfit during every royal tour.
Why? Because, what if a royal dies?
If someone in the royal family dies, all members of the family are required to wear a mourning outfit, wherever in the world they are.
