The Duchess of Cambridge was seen alongside The Queen and Prince Philip at the event, to pay tribute to Britain’s war heroes. The annual festival commemorates all those who have lost their lives in conflicts.

Kate Middleton, who is pregnant with her third child, looked beautifully demure in a velvet black ensemble with exquisite button detail, wearing her hair wavy and her make-up kept to a minimum.

The royal, who is set to give birth in April, showed off the first signs of her baby bump as she payed her respects – sporting a stunning huge poppy as tribute as she did.

Prince William and Prince Harry did not attend the evening.

Kate Middleton recently announced she is pregnant with her third child, and is set to give birth in April.

And the Duchess of Cambridge was forced to miss taking son Prince George to school, after suffering from severe morning sickness.

But it seems the pregnant royal has overcome the hyperemesis gravidarum, and is now arranging official royal engagements around his school times.

Speaking at the Place2Be School Leaders Forum, in London, the 35 year old opened up about how much she has learnt since the four year old started at St Thomas’s, in Battersea.

“As a mother just getting used to leaving my own child at the school gates, it is clear to me that it takes a whole community to help raise a child,” she explained.

“Whether we are school leaders, teachers, support staff or parents – we’re all in this together.

“We are all working to give children the emotional strength they need to face their futures and thrive.”
