Pregnant Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and Prince William celebrated their sixth anniversary earlier this year following their lavish April 2011 wedding, and have now announced Catherine is pregnant with their third child.
It’s obvious the loved-up couple are always there for each other for support, attending royal engagements together and recently they appeared out together to pay an emotional tribute to Princess Diana on the eve of the twentieth anniversary of her death.
The couple – parents to Prince George and Princess Charlotte – are often pictured sharing a tender moment together.
However, it hasn’t always easy for the royal couple, and at one point they even split.
In a rare interview with ITV news following their engagement the royal couple opened up about their time apart and revealed the REAL reason behind their brief split.
William commented: “We were both very young, it was at university, we were both finding ourselves as such and being different characters and stuff.

“It was very much trying to find our own way and we were growing up, it was a bit of space and a bit of things like that and it worked out for the better.”
Kate added: “I think at the time I wasn’t very happy about it, but actually it made me a stronger person, you find out things about yourself that maybe you hadn’t realised.
She added: “I think you can get quite consumed by a relationship when you are younger and I really valued that time for me as well although I didn’t think it at the time.”
However they’re now stronger than ever. Here’s EVERYTHING you need to know about their love story…
The very beginning
Kate and Will first met while studying at St Andrews University, in September 2001.
They initially both studied art history, before William later switched to Geography.
They also lived in the same halls of residence.
Moving in together
In September 2002, the pair moved into a student house with two other friends.
The next year in June 2003, Kate attends William’s 21st Birthday.
The start of the relationship
In December 2003, it was first rumoured they have become an item.
The following March, their romance was exposed, when they were spotted on a skiing holiday together.
A year later they graduated, and Kate came under intense media scrutiny, making it hard for the young couple.
While Kate didn’t go to the wedding of the Prince of Wales, Charles, and Camilla Parker Bowles, she did attend one of William’s close family friends’ wedding with him, and later attended to watch William graduate as an Army officer at Sandhurst.
In January 2006, they are pictured kissing for the first time while away on a skiing holiday.
In March 2007 the couple briefly separated.
However it was a short-lived split, and by July the same year, the pair were back together and Kate was spotted at the Concert For Diana.
The loved-up couple became engaged in October 2010, with Will touchingly popping the question with late Princess Diana’s engagement ring, during a trip to Kenya.
The exciting news is later announced to the world in November.
Kate and William’s wedding
Prince William and Kate Middleton wed in April 2011 at Westminster Abbey.
They then had a reception at Buckingham Palace, and delighted the estimated two billion TV viewers around the world by kissing on the balcony.
The couple quickly settle into married life, adopting a dog called Lupo, and living the majority of 2012 in Wales where William worked as a search and rescue pilot.
In December 2012, royal fans are delighted with the news that Kate is expecting their first baby.
After suffering severe morning sickness, Kate gives birth to Prince George in July 2013 and he is christened that October.
Kate then gives birth to Princess Charlotte in May 2015.
While the family are pictured on official trips and through official portraits, the children are now raised in relative privacy.
Despite having two children, Kate is always clouded with pregnancy speculation, with some experts suggesting she could have another baby in 2017.
Now, Kate Middleton is pregnant with baby number three, and is one of the most pictured women in the world, adapting well to royal life, and following some strict etiquette rules.
Along with Prince William and Prince Harry, who is currently dating Suits actress Meghan Markle, she is used to being in the public eye and they often attend charity events together.
