Coronation Street actor James Burrows looked in high spirits as he stepped out for the first time since announcing he was set to become a dad.
The 27 year old soap star, who plays Ali Neeson on the popular ITV soap, smiled for cameras on the red carpet at 100 Wardour Street in London as he arrived at the glitzy bash.
James kept it casual at the star-studded event, foregoing a suit as he sported a long-sleeved grey polo top and black jeans, alongside a pair of box fresh white converse.
The Corrie favourite looked dapper as he posed with two hands in his pockets, before entering the glitzy ceremony where he and his cast-mates bagged the top award of the evening, taking the 2018 gong for best soap.
The actor’s appearance on the red carpet comes just days after he announced that he and girlfriend Sophie Coates are expecting a baby.
Speaking to OK! online about his news, James claimed he was “very, very excited” to become a dad.
“You know what, we’re both over the moon about it. We couldn’t be happier,” he said.
Before adding: “It’s all positive news, and I’m all about positive energy, you know, life’s going good and I’m happy.”
Actor James – whose character was recently involved in a horror car crash – joined ITV Coronation Street in the summer as Michelle Connor’s son Alex Neeson, who now goes by the name Ali.

James is currently taking some time off the ITV soap, but claims he is already excited to return to the Cobbles.
“You know what, I’m looking forward to getting back to work and seeing what they have in store for me,” he added.
