Holly Willoughby’s personal preference in recent years has been to avoid wearing any jewellery, apart from her wedding and engagement ring, on This Morning.
However, Phillip Schofield’s co-host has broken her personal habit on the red carpet of the National Television Awards 2018.
The 36 year old mum-of-three was all smiles on the red carpet as she teamed her designer blue and yellow gown with a double-link diamond bracelet as well as diamond drop earrings.
And the Celebrity Juice star – married to Dan Baldwin – made sure she broke her own trend with style, rocking over £26,000 worth of diamonds on the red carpet.
Holly’s dazzling bracelet, called the Waterfall Double Bangle, is by Boodles, a British jewellers, and is priced online at a staggering £26,450.
The earring’s are the Raindance Anniversary Long Drop Earrings, and do not have a price online – but you can only imagine the dent they had on the bank.

And while viewers love to see Holly Willoughby and her co-host Phillip Schofield on their screens every morning, it is the 36 year-old’s outfits that cause the biggest fuss.
The habit Holly has developed has been around for years now, and whether it’s a midi dress, a jumpsuit or a pencil skirt and top combo, the blonde bombshell never wears jewellery.
The only accessory that the host wears is her wedding ring.
In her earlier days on the show, Fearne Cotton’s best friend repeatedly wore a gold double coin necklace, which fans were obsessed with.
However, since then, the star has stuck to simply letting her outfit do the talking, with no earrings, necklaces or bracelets.
But why is this?
One woman took to Reddit to ask fellow women whether she was the only one who disliked wearing jewellery.
And it appears she (and Holly) are not the only ones.
Everyone who responded had a different reason for avoiding bracelets, rings and necklaces from fashion reasons to simply finding them distracting.
One woman wrote: “I dislike it as well. I usually just wear my wedding band, and even it is as minimalistic as possible.”
Another explained that she avoids it for health reasons, commenting: “I avoid wearing jewellery in general unless it’s a very special occasion; my skin is ultra-sensitive and anything less than sterling silver or surgical steel makes me break out into incredible hives.”
One simply said that she finds it “distracting” explaining: “I cannot, CANNOT wear bracelets. They bother me so much.”
