Health WARNING: Feeling tired ALL the time could be a sign of THIS serious condition

Feeling tired – all the time

Are you feeling tired all the time? Do you sit down on the sofa after work, and before you know it you’re asleep in front of the TV all evening?

Women are a lot more prone to anaemia than men.

One of the ways this manifests itself is extreme exhaustion. If you find that you’re always tired, don’t dismiss it – it can be a sign of underactive thyroid glands, or of mental health problems, such as depression.

Weight loss without intention

Weight loss can be seen as a positive thing but, if you are losing weight without trying to, it could be dangerous.

Unintended weight loss could be a sign of a metabolic disorder such as thyroid disease, diabetes or even cancer, in the extreme case.

Make sure you visit a doctor as soon as possible to rule these out.

A cough that just won’t go away

We all get nasty coughs and colds occasionally but, if you’re a non-smoker and have had a cough for over six weeks, make sure you go and see a doctor.

It could be a sign of a lung disorder or even cancer.

If you are a smoker, you need to be even more careful. If you’ve had a cough for over three weeks, go and see your GP.

Bleeding after sex

If you’re bleeding when you shouldn’t be – either after sex or between periods – this could be a sign of a sexually transmitted disease or could be an issue with your cervix.

These problems, although embarrassing, need to be assessed by a doctor.

Pain, in general, is usually a sign that something is not right. If you are suffering from any pain and not sure of the cause, see a GP to be assessed.
