The supermodel is following in pal Kendall Jenner’s footsteps by not appearing in the show for the first time in nearly two years.
Taking to Twitter, Bella Hadid’s sister confirmed the news with her 7.44million followers.
“I’m so bummed I won’t be able to make it to China this year,” she tweeted. “Love my VS family, and will be with all my girls in spirit!!
“Can’t wait to tune in with everyone to see the beautiful show I know it will be, and already can’t wait for next year! x.”
Gigi’s news comes after her sister shared a video online, showing her imitating a Buddha cookie.
In the now-deleted clip, which was shared on Bella’s Instagram back in February, the 22 year old could be seen enjoying an evening at a restaurant.

She then held up the cookie, before smiling at the camera and squinting her eyes to imitate his face.
Fans rushed to criticise her behaviour, before she issued an apology in September.
In a post shared on Weibo, she wrote: “It hurts me to hurt anyone, and I want you all to know that it was never my intent to offend anyone through my actions and I sincerely apologise to those who were hurt or felt let down by me.
“I have the utmost respect and love for the people of China and cherish the incredible memories I have made while visiting in the past.
“I have learned to be very careful of how my actions can come off or be portrayed and I’m hopeful you’ll accept my apology.”
However, many have now speculated over Zayn Malik’s girlfriend’s decision to snub the iconic catwalk show.
Replying to her tweet, one wrote: “China did what was right! This is the consequences to her actions. May this be a lesson for her. Apologies don’t erase the actions.”
While another branded the news ‘karma’.
Others were upset she would not be walking in the show, with a fan tweeting: “I’m so sad!!! But I know it’s for the best, you work so hard and I know there is so much more to come.
“I love you. You are the best. I hope you realise how much we all love you… we will always support you
And another added: “Everyone makes mistakes she’s only human.”
